Destina is a second-year Ph.D. student in Sociology at UC Merced whose research interests include: Indigeneity, Latinidad, space, meaning making, youth culture, (im)migration, and language. Her current focus of work analyzes the role of Latine Indigeneity with young people of color in space making in the rural valley.
